I have known Paul at Fine Line Framing for many years. He has
framed all of my fine art. I have always been very satisfied.
I recently retired and decided to frame my military memorabilia.
Paul came up with some great ideas for the layout and framing. I
was very happy with the result.
I would highly recommend Fine Line Framing for your fine art or
memorabilia.
Sincerely yours,

When my wife
and I had our 50’ Spanish oak tree cut down, we decided to leave
the bottom 16’ still in the ground so that it could be carved into
a totem pole. We commissioned Paul to do the job and were very
pleased with the end result. It turned out even better than I had
envisioned, especially now that the carved wood is weathering and
looking more authentic each day.

I have been a customer of Mr. Grybow since about 1990. I had begun
to collect rare autographs, and was in need of a quality framer
who fully understood both the importance and difficulties of
conservation framing.
Virtually all of my conservation framing has been done by Mr.
Grybow since that time. This includes a letter signed by George
Washington; and a Mediterranean Ship’s Pass signed by both Thomas
Jefferson and James Madison. Mr. Grybow has also framed a 200
year-old land grant signed by Robert Morris; a pristine stock
certificate from American Express signed by both Henry Wells and
William Fargo; a copy of his Resignation signed by Richard Nixon;
and a signed copy of Gerald Ford’s pardon of Nixon.
In addition, Mr. Grybow did a magnificent job of framing a
full-size 155 year old copy of the Declaration of Independence,
which was printed from the same plate taken from the original
Declaration and used to print the “Stone” copies of 1823. He has
also recently framed several autographed items signed by such
Apollo Moonwalkers as Pete Conrad (Apollo 12), Edgar Mitchell
(Apollo 14), and Jim Irwin (Apollo 15).
However, the most important piece that Mr. Grybow has done for me
is his magnificent framing of a signed photo of the “4 Stooges”
(Moe, Shemp, Curley Joe and Paulie). It is truly a one-of-a-kind
piece, and it is a sight to behold.
I have entrusted to Mr. Grybow and Fine Line Framing many of my
most valuable pieces. He has always done an excellent job of
preserving and framing them. In addition, because Mr. Grybow is
also an artist in his own right, he has been excellent in helping
me to choose just the right combination of matting and
framing—from the thousands and thousands of possibilities—to
really enhance my pieces.
Even though I moved from Orange County to San Diego several years
ago, I still drive more than 100 miles to Fine Line Framing to
have all of my conservation framing done there.
Sincerely,
John S.
I
joined the National Guard when I was 16 and enlisted in the
regular army a year later in 1950. I fought as an infantryman in
Korea and got out in 1953. I went back in 1955, eventually
becoming an officer and served in Vietnam with the Phoenix
Program. I had many pleasant experiences during that time and many
that I tried not to dwell on.
It was only recently that I felt the need to leave something for
my family that indicated what I did in the service. My personal,
very small piece of history, the best solution for me was to dust
off my medals and awards and have them mounted. I talked with Paul
Grybow and gave him only the
order of the medals to be mounted leaving the rest to him.
The finished product is a work of art. I didn’t realize how
impressive it would look and how good I felt about the piece when
I finally displayed it in our home.
